Boise State football is coming back to the blue.

The Mountain West Conference announced on social media Thursday night a shortened eight-game schedule.

Games will begin the weekend of Oct. 24 concluding with a championship game Dec. 19.

“I’m so excited that our coaches and student-athletes are going to get to do this fall what they do best - compete and win," said Dr. Marlene Tromp, BSU president. "It’s time to let the Broncos out of the corral.”

No word yet on the Bronco's opponents or its individual schedule, but the conference says a full news release will be released Friday morning with additional details.

In addition, head football coach Bryan Harsin will be taking questions from the local media Friday afternoon.

"I am thrilled for our student-athletes and coaches to be able to compete this fall," said Curt Apsey, BSU athletic director. "There has been a lot of great work done by a number of people in order to pull this together, and I am incredibly appreciative of their efforts.”
